When the Torpedo was originally in the planning and prototype stages, my thoughts and plan was to use the same principles that Major League Baseball Engineers were using by slightly changing the MOI (Moment of Inertia) of two hugely successful previous AT18 models known around the Country as the Purple Rain and the Orange Crush.
When the Torpedo was introduced to you the players, it was so quickly successful that the majority of sizes sold out in 4-5 weeks! ( I do have less than 20 of the originals left on the website in 25.5 at a discount) So…it’s a nice problem to have but what to do? I still have players calling me wanting the 26.5 and 27.5 models because they found out exactly what my theory and the actual bats delivered: Quicker bat speeds resulting in faster batted ball speeds and longer Distance while still having a bat that was easy to control. I called our Management and explained the high demand for the Torpedoes and we worked together to get you out the new version as quickly as possible so here it is!
